- Ensure the health, safety and well-being of staff and customers
- Optimise Utilisation of Centre facilities
- Ensure a friendly customer orientated service that meets/exceeds expectation in its standard of delivery
- Ensure effective and efficient use of available resources
- Ensure running expenses are kept within agreed budgets
- Ensure the facility and equipment is kept clean, tidy and maintained safely at all times
- Ensure the structure of the building and fittings are respected at all times
- Ensure adequate training of staff whilst providing for their welfare and job satisfaction
- Develop a marketing strategy to ensure maximum promotion of the facility within allocated budgets
- Encourage an atmosphere conductive to the recreation experience
- Provide opportunities for families, individuals and community groups to participate in a wide range of recreation activities
- Promote clubs, associations and leagues within the centre
- Provide instructional courses for varied activities and ability levels
- Promote special events
- actively encourage regular participation in sport and exercise
- Encourage the adoption of healthy active lifestyles
- Increase awareness of the benefits of active lifestyles
- Encourage increased participation by: young people, women, fifty plus, GP referrals and socially/economically disadvantaged
- Support development in local standards of sporting performance
- Monitor the success of the programme in terms of meeting changing community needs
- Evaluate the Trust's programme
