Teme Leisure actively encourages the GP Referral Scheme. We want as many people as possible to participate in regular exercise. We believe that regular exercise will benefit most conditions as long as it is performed in a safe environment, overseen by trained staff.

How to get onto the scheme:

  1. Visit your Health Professional to ascertain if you are eligible for the scheme
  2. If you are, they will give you a referral note (prescription for exercise)
  3. Bring the note to Teme Leisure Ludlow, who will book you in to see our GP Referral Instructor
  4. Arrive for your appointment with comfortable clothing and training shoes
  5. During your consultation, measurements such as blood pressure, body mass, lung efficiency and flexibity will be taken
  6. You will then be given a programme by your instructor to follow each time you visit
